Bart Edson Photography is a full-service real estate photography and video company based in Sonoma County, serving real estate professionals, architects, and interior designers throughout Marin, Sonoma, Napa, and San Francisco counties. Since 2011, we've helped bring residential and commercial properties to life through photography, video, drone imagery, and floor plans designed to do more than document a space, they help buyers feel it.

Bart Edson

Bart was raised in Marin County, graduated from Terra Linda High School, and went on to study at UC Davis. He now lives in Sonoma wine country, where the same landscapes he once explored as a kid have become part of his everyday backdrop.

Bart has been a passionate photographer since the age of 17, when he built a darkroom and studied the work of Ansel Adams and Edward Weston. Galen Rowell was another early and lasting influence, and it shows: Bart is as much an avid outdoorsman as he is a photographer, and that instinct for natural light and landscape carries directly into his real estate work. When real estate photography was still taking shape as its own discipline, Bart was among the first to study under Mike Kelley and Scott Hargis, two of the field's earliest and most influential pioneers, and he built his craft alongside the techniques they were developing in real time. That grounding, part darkroom, part outdoors, part early real estate innovation, still informs the way he approaches every shoot: technically exacting, but always in service of the image.

Bart is especially known for his twilight photography, a signature blend of light painting and color grading that gives homes a warm, cinematic glow no local competitor has quite matched. His work has appeared on the covers of Homes and Land and Real Estate Reader in Sonoma County.
